Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is majorly known for his heroics with the ball. The right-arm Indian pacer is currently under the headlines due to his possible inclusion in the Team India squad for the last three-Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Bengal pacer hasn’t played a single international match since November 2023 as he suffered an ankle injury and underwent a surgery for the same. However, Shami has already recovered from his injury and is currently playing domestic cricket for Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali. The latter has performed brilliantly and looks almost set to make a comeback in the India side.
Mohammed Shami Plays A Fiery Knock Against Chandigarh
Apart from dismantling batters’ furniture with the ball, Mohammed Shami can hit a long ball. He showcased a glimpse of the same by smashing 32* runs in just 17 balls in a SMAT match against Chandigarh. The video for the same went viral on the social media. Shami smashed three fours and two sixes during his stay at the crease and batted with a strike rate of 188.24.
On the sidelines of Mohammed Shami’s brilliant performance in domestic cricket, the BCCI have made all the arrangements to send him to Australia. As per a report by PTI, his visa and kit has already been dispatched to Australia and the world’s richest cricket board is currently waiting for the green flag from the NCA. The BCCI is awaiting Shami’s final fitness report and it looks like he shall play the last two Test matches against Australia.
