OTT Releases This Week (Dec 2-8): Amaran, Jungkook’s I Am Still And More Movies, Web Series To Watch Soon

Streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and others release a new slate of movies and web series every week for their subscribers. The content has been made available in different genres and languages and has been targeted to audiences of all age groups. This week, the OTT releases will be more on the thrillers and dramatic content and will be a treat for the fans of this particular genre.

From ‘Amaran’ to ‘Agni’, take a look at the list of upcoming movies and web series releasing this week.

Jungkook’s I Am Still The Original 

BTS member Jungkook released his documentary film titled ‘I Am Still’ in theatres worldwide. The project will soon arrive on OTT. ‘Jungkook I Am Still The Original’ will release on Disney+ Hotstar on December 3, 2024. The docu-series will have three episodes in total and will showcase Jungkook’s eight-month journey of creating his album ‘Golden’. 

Amaran

‘Amaran’ is based on the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra.  It stars Sivakarthikeyen and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles with Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, and Shyamaprasad seen in pivotal roles. It will release on Netflix on December 5, 2024. 

Matka

‘Matka’ is set between 1958 and 1982 and revolves around a popular gambler and gangster named Matka. The movie stars Varun Tej, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Nora Fatehi in the lead roles. It will release on Prime Video on December 5, 2024.

Agni

‘Agni’ focuses on Vithal, a fireman, and his brother-in-law, Samit, a hotshot policeman, as they team up together to rescue people when the city gets engulfed in fire. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the series stars Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu and Jitendra Joshi in the lead roles. The movie will release on Prime Video on December 6, 2024. 

Jigra

‘Jigra’ focuses on a woman named Satya, who goes on a mission to save her younger brother from jail. The movie stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead roles. According to the website, the movie will release on December 6, 2024, on Netflix.
