BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty, on Tuesday, became target of pickpockets during a campaign rally in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Mithun, the star campaigner for the BJP, was in Nirsa Assembly area supporting BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta. He was addressing a large gathering in Kaliya Sol, organised by the BJP, when pickpockets struck amidst the crowd.
Over a thousand people had gathered to catch a glimpse of Mithun, leading to overcrowding and a lack of security arrangements. As people rushed forward to take photos with their mobile cameras, some even pushing and shoving, the pickpockets took advantage of the chaos and stole Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet.
Once Mithun noticed his wallet was missing, he informed other BJP leaders on stage. They made a public appeal for the wallet to be returned, but unfortunately, it wasn’t recovered. Mithun, disappointed by the incident, ended the event sooner than planned and left the venue.
