The gender identity of Imane Khelif, the Algerian boxer who has won gold in women’s boxing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, is under tight spotlight after the leak of a medical report. A document obtained by French journalist Djaffar Ait Aoudia indicates that Khelif has internal testicles and XY chromosomes, that is said to be a case of 5-alpha reductase deficiency. The report was drafted in June 2023 by medical professionals at Kremlin-Bicêtre Hospital in Paris and Mohamed Lamine Debaghine Hospital in Algiers, it revealed the nonexistence of uterus, additionally MRI also revealed the presence of micropenis, as reported by Redux.
