During his conversation with Amitabh Bachchan, the actor impressed everyone by sharing his caring and loving side as a father and sang a lullaby that he composed for his daughter. Amitabh then reminded him how this year’s Diwali will indeed be extra special for him and his family because of the new addition -their baby girl. “This Diwali is very special for you, Varun, as Lakshmi ji has arrived at your home,” Amitabh said. To this, Varun replied with folded hands, “We named her Lara. I’m still learning to connect with her.” He also thanked the legend.
What Does Lara Mean?
Lara has different meanings in different cultures. Though the origin of the word is not clear, In Latin, Lara is taken from the word lares, which refers to the Roman gods who protected homes and fields. Lara is also associated with the word larus, which means seagull or protection. In Greek, it refers to the messenger of God. It Spanish, it stands for laurel or bay tree.
Embracing Parenthood
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal became parents to Lara on June 3. Announcing the happy news on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Our baby girl is here, Thank u for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby”.
He later shared his first picture with Lara on the occasion of Father’s Day. Alongside a beautiful picture of his daughter, grabbing Varun’s finger, he wrote, “Happy Father’s Day. My father taught me that the best way to celebrate this day is by going out there and working for your family so Il be doing just that. Couldn’t be happier to be a girl dad.”
