The inaugural season of International Masters League, that will feature cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, will commence from November 17 to December 8 in venues- Mumbai, Lucknow, and Raipur. The tournament was officially announced on Tuesday, October 8 where it showed teams from India, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the West Indies.
Sachin Tendulkar will be leading the India Masters team, while former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has been appointed as the league commissioner. The tournament will start off with a match between India Masters and Sri Lanka Masters on November 17.
Brian Lara will captain the West Indies Masters, and Kumar Sangakkara will lead the Sri Lanka Masters. The South Africa Masters will be under the guidance of the legendary cricketer Jacques Kallis, with Eoin Morgan as the skipper of the England Masters and Shane Watson captaining the Australian Masters.
