Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in a major military operation killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a targeted airstrike in the city of Beirut, Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the strike and went ahead to issue a very stern warning to Iran, stating that no place in Iran or the Middle East is off limits to Israel. Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader for nearly three decades, had been responsible for planning attacks against Israel as well as its friends. The airstrikes were a response to the aggressive actions of Hezbollah. It was a turning point moment for Israel in restoring security into the region.
Netanyahu Confirms Nasrallah Elimination
Just then, the then prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the microphone to address the nation following Nasrallah’s death. “Yesterday, the State of Israel eliminated the arch-murderer Hassan Nasrallah,” he said. Nasrallah was termed as the leading brain behind attacks against Israelis and other nationalities, including hundreds of Americans and dozens of French. The PM emphasized that Nasrallah’s assassination will strike a blow not only to Hezbollah but also to Iran, as he was termed the ‘main engine’ of Iran’s axis of evil.
Woe To Iran’s Ayatollah Regime
Netanyahu also issued a warning to the Iranian regime by his statement: “There is no place in Iran or the Middle East that the long arm of Israel cannot reach.” The Prime Minister announced that if any country or organization wants to hurt Israel, then it will have to face very tough measures. As per the Prime Minister, the killing of Nasrallah will be the end of hope of all those who are opposing the violent dictatorship of Iran in countries like Lebanon, Syria, and Iran itself.
The Strategy of Israel
According to Nasrallah’s death, which is considered the next big step in Israel’s policies for bringing back hostages and peace to the north within its territories, Netanyahu observed that unless Nasrallah was dead, he would have restored Hezbollah’s strength within no time. The operation draws closer a return to the Israeli residents displaced by the war and brings Israel closer to hostage releases held by Hezbollah and Hamas.
Israeli Defense Forces
Netanyahu was in deep appreciation of Israel’s defense and intelligence systems, including the IDF, Mossad, and the Air Force, which played a crucial role in carrying out the entire operation. He applauded at the successful killing of Nasrallah and reiterated that the aim of Israel is to protect its people and ensure its borders still hold.
Statement Of IDF On Nasrallah’s Death
Israel confirmed that Nasrallah was killed in airstrikes against Hezbollah headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut, known as Dahiyeh. According to the IDF, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.” The area targeted is known to be a stronghold for Hezbollah, with Nasrallah’s command center located underground, hidden beneath residential buildings.
This represented a new angle to Israel’s war with Hezbollah and Iran as it was removing Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s defense strategist. Rising the defense, Netanyahu was giving an omen to Iran that he might become a necessity if such action was called for. Israel finally vowed to get back its citizens and hostages safely, besides staying secure along its borders.
