NTR Jr returned to the big screen after 2 long years with Devara: Part 1, which opened to an overwhelming response on September 27. The film was released in six different languages – Telugu, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada, and minted Rs 77 crores in the Indian market alone. On Day 2, the movie will continue to enjoy good footfall and 1.86 Cr India worth of advance booking has been made so far.

Globally, the film has crossed the ₹100 crore mark, accumulating a total of Rs 172 crore (Net). In the US alone, it has garnered approximately ₹65 crore, cementing NTR Jr’s status as the Man of Masses. The numbers are increasing rapidly. This is NTR Jr’s second 100 crore opener after RRR, which was released in 2022.

Owing to the high anticipation surrounding the film, it was expected to do well, especially down south, and it did. But the numbers in the Hindi belt have surpassed the expectations. As per Sacnilk. The Hindi dubbed version of the film added Rs 7 crore, while the Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam versions brought in smaller figures of Rs 0.3 crore, Rs 0.8 crore, and Rs 0.3 crore, respectively. Telugu audience also showed some overwhelming response towards the film and the box office collection crossed 68.6 crore mark, with 79.6 per cent occupancy.

Films Opens To Mixed Reviews

The film was welcomed by the audience however, it received mixed reviews from the critics. NTR Jr gives an impressive performance as revered warrior chieftain Devara and his timid son, Vara. The action-packed film boasts larger-than-life scenes, but despite Saif Ali Khan’s presence and NTR Jr’s charisma, the weak storyline falls short. Janhvi Kapoor, whose name was marketed well by the makers, had a blink and miss appearance in the film.
