Investing money in a fixed deposit (FD) is often the first choice for most people in the country. FDs offer higher interest rates, and there’s no risk of losing money. This is why people invest significantly in time depsoits, as these come with guaranteed returns. Additionally, banks frequently launch new FD schemes. In this context, the State Bank of India had launched the Amrit Vrishti FD scheme which promises customers attractive interest rates.

SBI’s Amrit Vrishti Scheme has time period of 444 days. In this scheme, general citizens get interest rate of 7.25%. While, according to the SBI, senior customers investing in the Amrit Vrishti Scheme will get annual interest rate of 7.75%.

Investing From Home

To invest in SBI’s Amrit Vrishti Scheme, you don’t need to visit SBI branch. You can invest from home using net banking or the YONO app. The deadline for investing in this scheme is set for March 31, 2025.

Interest Rates On SBI FDs Of Other Tenures

Citizens can also open time deposits with the country’s largest lender for other tenures as well. SBI currently offers FDs of tenures of minimum seven days to as long as ten years.  The lender has set different interest rates for these term deposits which you can see in the table below:
