Maine Kabhi Nahi Kaha Main Sahi Insaan Hun. Main Bas Ankur Ki Behen Hun’ – this dialogue of Alia Bhatt (Satya) from Jigra sums up the film’s storyline, a glimpse of which was shared by makers on September 26. In the Vasan Bala directorial, Alia plays a ferocious sister who is on the go to save his brother from the wrath of the world. Jigra also stars Vedang Rana in the role of Ankur, Satya’s younger brother. An intense teaser was released by Dharma Productions two weeks ago, which had built anticipation among fans.
The trailer opens with Ankur being sentenced to death in a foreign country after getting caught in a drug-related problem . When the news reaches Satya, she rushes to protect her little brother- something she has been doing since the school days. Alia as Ankur’s saviour is very convincing. She learns how to fight, jumps off trees, operates guns and is ready to go to any length to safeguard her brother, even if it means slitting her own hand.
The Jigra trailer has masterfully put together emotional scenes and heart-pumping action sequence, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
Taking to the comment section of YouTube, fans appreciated Alia’s performance and called the movie a superhit. “Alia coming to show what an actual female-led film looks like,” wrote one fan. Another said, “The posture, the rage, the dialogues delivery just awesome, Alia Bhatt is born to be an actor”
One fan pointed out the perfectly put together trailer. “Finally a trailer that keeps audience guessing as well as excited. This really seems like something new something fresh something that we haven’t seen in bollywood before. True women centric movie and alia is ready to slay again”
A few fans even went on to compare the quality content and fresh storyline to that of Hollywood movies. “I can’t imagine how Bollywood is making such unimaginable good movies which can definitely beat Hollywood level,” read a comment.
