Anubha Arora’s Yudhra is releasing on September 20, which is coincidently National Cinema Day. Though the film is expected to do great business, Yudhra will face tough competition from all time blockbuster and highest grosser Stree 2 as well as sleeper hit Tumbbad, which has re-released in cinemas and is doing exceptionally well. However, Anubha seems unfazed by any of it and is very confident about her film.
While talking to News24 exclusively, the actor shares how the entire team has put in a lot of effort to make this film. “Yudhra’s journey began a long time back and the whole team has worked tirelessly to put this product out in the market. Hence, I feel very positive about it. It’s going to do great,” she shares.
As far as Stree 2 and Tumbbad are concerned, Anubha is happy about their success too. “I think now cinema is really helping with those nostalgic emotions by the re-releasing some good films. Personally, it keeps me excited. At the same time, I yearn for fresh cinema,” says Anubha, who was previously seen in Tera Kya Hoga Lovely.
Anubha clarifies that Yudhra will find its audience as it’s very different from other movies running in theatres right now. “It is a completely different genre and I am sure it’s going to cater to this need for newness and stylised cinema. Infact, I see so many shows are houseful already. It’s going to keep you on the edge of your seats. I am sure about it.”
When asked about that the factor that will make this film stand out, Anubha says, “It’s a film that will draw you in because of its brilliant cast. Raghav along with Malavika and Sidhhant make for a great team. This combination will be very interesting to watch,” she ends.
The film is an psychological-thriller with a punch of action.
