Actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth have finally tied the knot in a beautiful intimate ceremony on September 16. The couple looked straight out of a fairytale in their wedding pictures and their simplicity caught attention of the netizens.
Unlike Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Priyanka Chopra, who chose Manish Malhotra and Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Aditi opted for Sabyasachi Mujherjee’s designs. She looked absolutely ethereal in her beige and golden organza lehenga with gold zari work on it. With her lehenga, the actor wore a matching golden blouse with beautiful yet simple embroidery on it. The couple has shown how South Indian brides and grooms can ace their wedding looks with simplicity and elegance.
She wore stunning gold jewellery with a pair of jhumkaas, necklace and bangles to accessorise the outfit, and opted for a minimal makeup look. The ‘Heeramandi’ star chose to wear her hair in a simple braid, adorned with flowers. She also chose to ditch traditional mehndi designs and optd for half-moon alta.
Siddharth looked dapper in the traditional South Indian groom attire and wore a white silk kurta with veshti. He paired his outfit with a luxurious watch. Pictures of their look were also shared by the designer on his official social media page.
Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Aditi wrote in the caption, “You are my Sun, my Moon, and all my Stars… To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity…to laughter, to never growing up… To Eternal Love, Light & Magic. Mrs & Mr Adu-Siddhu.”
Aditi Rao Hydari-Siddharth Wedding: The proposal
In a recent interview with Vogue India, Aditi revealed how Siddharth proposed to her for marriage. She revealed, “He got down on his knee and I asked him, ‘Now what have you lost? Whose shoelaces are open?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me’. And then he proposed. He said he wanted to bring me to my favourite childhood place, one with my grandmother’s blessings.”
While talking about her first meeting with Siddharth, she further added, “He walked in and said, ‘Hello, beautiful girl’. Usually, when someone says something like this, it does not work. But he was being genuine. By the end of the day, he had me and pretty much everyone on the set in splits. He also ensured that my team and I had ghee idlis whipped up by his cook every day for the rest of the shoot.”
Aditi and Siddharth first worked together in the 2021 Tamil movie ‘Maha Samundram’ and fell in love. The couple officially confirmed their relationship on social media by announcing their engagement in March 2024.
