The Indian men’s hockey team clinched a 4-1 win over South Korea, securing their spot in the final of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024, hosted in Moqi, China. This victory came on Monday, setting up a final clash against China, which defeated Pakistan in the other semifinal.

India established a commanding 2-0 lead by halftime. Goals from Uttam Singh and captain Harmanpreet Kaur provided the early advantage.

Jarmanpreet Singh extended India’s lead with a goal assisted by Sumit. South Korea managed to score a consolation goal through Yang Jihun’s penalty corner in the third quarter. However, Harmanpreet Kaur added his second goal of the match, also from a penalty corner, to finalize the score at 4-1.

India remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament, having secured victories against China (3-0), Japan (5-1), Malaysia (8-1), Korea (3-1), and Pakistan (2-1). As the defending Asian Games champions, India has showcased impressive form throughout the competition.
