The film is set to release next year and will go on floors next month. Dhamaka shows the workings of a news channel in the 21st Century and will be shot in Mumbai. Dhamaka will be helmed by Ram Madhvani.

Sharing the first-look poster of the film on Twitter, Kartik Aarayan wrote, “Aaj mera Birthday hai. #DHAMAKA hona chahiye,” with a few emojis. In the poster, Kartik Aaryan stands with his back pointed towards the camera as he looks at a bridge burning. He is dressed in formals and is seen wearing spects. The actor sports long hair, and a tense expression on his face.

Kartik Aaryan, who plays the role of a journalist in the film, said, “This for me is a miracle script and had me on the edge of my seat all through the narration. I knew this is the script that would give me the opportunity to explore a different side of me as an actor. I can’t wait to transport myself to Ram sir’s world and see his vision translate on the big screen. This is also the first time I am collaborating with Ronnie and RSVP, and I am looking forward to this journey.”

Talking about the film, Ronnie said, “I am thrilled to collaborate with Ram and Kartik and nothing better than this particular subject for us to come together for the first time.
