‘I Feel Like Vomiting’: Shiv Sena Minister’s Insulting Remark On NCP Leaders Sparks Row

A minister from Eknath Shinde’s party expressed discomfort with the NCP leaders, stating that just sitting next to their leaders in the cabinet makes him feel like vomiting. Shiv Sena minister Tanaji Sawant made these remarks during a public event, emphasizing that he is a “hardcore Shiv Sainik” and can’t tolerate Congress and NCP.

State Health Minister Tanaji Sawant said, “I am a hardcore Shiv Sainik and have never gotten along with Congress and NCP, not even during my student days. This is the reality. Even now, sitting with NCP members in the cabinet makes me feel sick. I can’t tolerate it; that’s the truth.”

NCP Hits Back At Shiv Sena Leader

The NCP responded strongly to Sawant’s comments. Amol Mitkari, an MLC from Ajit Pawar’s faction, stated, “Tanaji Sawant is the fifth person to make such remarks. Let me remind you that NCP can respond too, and it’s not just NCP’s responsibility to uphold alliance principles.”

Sawant is no stranger to controversies. Last year, he was caught on camera telling a senior police officer that he doesn’t even listen to the chief minister. This comment was made while speaking with Dharashiv Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni, reportedly about transferring a police inspector in the district. In March, Sawant also revealed that Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde held over 100 to 150 meetings to persuade a group of Shiv Sena MLAs to bring down the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.

Sawant previously claimed that Shinde rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray because he wasn’t given a cabinet position in 2019. Last year, Sawant also took a jab at Aaditya Thackeray, threatening to have him admitted to a mental hospital after Aaditya challenged Eknath Shinde to contest the Lok Sabha election against him in Mumbai’s Worli Assembly seat.
