Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has expressed deep sorrow over a recent tragic and heart-wrenching incident in Kolkata. He described the incident as extremely painful and distressing and demanded strict action against the culprits. Sanjay Singh stated that such incidents shake the conscience of society, and the culprits should be given the harshest punishment to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.

In his statement, Sanjay Singh said, “The incident in Kolkata is extremely painful and distressing. The culprit should be given the strictest possible punishment. Just thinking about the suffering that the victimized girl must have endured sends chills down the spine.”

Sanjay Singh also raised concerns about the safety of women in society and questioned the administration. He stated that serious concerns about women’s safety have arisen across various parts of the country, including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. “Today, every citizen is questioning the safety of women. This is an issue that cannot be ignored,” he said.

He emphasized the need for the administration to act firmly to prevent such incidents. “There is a need to deal with these cases strictly, so that people can regain trust in women’s safety. Not only must the law instill fear, but society must also send a strong message that such incidents will not be tolerated under any circumstances,”

Sanjay Singh further stressed that women’s safety cannot be achieved through political rhetoric or blame games. He said, “Women cannot be protected by repeatedly politicizing such incidents and engaging in blame games. We need to seriously consider this issue and take concrete steps to ensure that women have the right to live a safe and dignified life.”

Sanjay Singh also appealed to the citizens of the country to remain vigilant and unite to raise their voices against such incidents. He said that it is the collective responsibility of society to ensure the safety of women and demand stringent action against such incidents.
