Shah Rukh Khan and his sons, Aryan and AbRam Khan, are working together for the first time on the Hindi version of Mufasa. Shah Rukh is voicing Mufasa, Aryan is dubbing for Simba, and AbRam is lending his voice to young Mufasa. While Shah Rukh and Aryan had previously dubbed for The Lion King in Hindi in 2019, this is AbRam’s first film project.

The trailer suggests that AbRam is set to shine in Bollywood alongside his older brother and father. The trio has delivered the Hindi dialogues effectively, and SRK has infused his signature wit into the film.

Shah Rukh Khan Expresses Joy In Voicing Mufasa Alongside Sons Aryan And AbRam

Shah Rukh Khan talked about the project, saying, “Mufasa is a legendary character who represents the ultimate king of the jungle, sharing his wisdom with his son, Simba. I connect with him as a father and relate to his journey in the film. Mufasa: The Lion King shows Mufasa’s life from childhood to becoming a great king, and revisiting this role has been wonderful. Working with Disney on this project is special, especially since my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are involved. Sharing this experience with them means a lot to me.”

Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios at Disney Star, said, “Mufasa is more than just a fictional character; he represents a spirit that inspires generations, something Disney aims to bring with every story. When we announced Mufasa: The Lion King, we knew Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan were perfect for the roles of Mufasa and Simba. With AbRam joining the cast, the movie has become even more special. We hope millions of Indian families enjoy this amazing story together!”

Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King brings new and beloved characters to life by combining live-action filmmaking with realistic computer-generated imagery.
