Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 Cabriolet, AMG GLC 43 Coupe Make Grand Debut In India, Check Details

Mercedes-Benz launched two new cars in India, the CLE 300 4MATIC Cabriolet and the AMG GLC 43 Coupe. The former, as mentioned above, will retail for ₹1.10 crore, and the latter will cost ₹1.105 crore. Even as these launches come after the introduction of all-electric EQA and EQB models last July, these are part of its strategy to roll out several new models in India through 2024. While the AMG GLC 43 Coupe was already there in India, the CLE Cabriolet is a new model that comes as a replacement of the C-Class Cabriolet sold globally.

CLE 300 Cabriolet: Sleek Design & Style

The CLE Cabriolet comes in variants: a hardtop coupe and a convertible. Only one variant of the CLE 300 Cabriolet AMG Line has been launched in India for bookings online at ₹1.10 crore. It takes design cues from the C-Class sedan—sporty ‘shark-nose’ front, low-set hood, large headlamps, and 19-inch AMG alloy wheels. It has a smooth rear with connected taillights by a black strip. The roof is either red or black.

Dynamic Performance and Style

Inside, this CLE 300 Cabriolet is very much like a current C-Class, but it gets an 11.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital display, plus a Burmester 3D sound system, ventilated AMG sports seats, an electric wind deflector, and AIRSCARF headroom heating.

Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces an output of 252 bhp and 400 Nm of torque in the CLE 300 Cabriolet. It does 0-100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds while topping out at a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Other features include AMG sports suspension and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

AMG GLC 43: Bold Design, Powerful Engine

The next one to be launched will be the AMG GLC 43 Coupe. This is refreshed in terms of design and gets a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mill replacing the older V6. This motor makes 415 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, with mild-hybrid tech aiding the force delivery with an added boost. It also gets the AMG Ride Control suspension and an AMG sports brake system. It gets an all-black interior with red stitching and carbon fiber trim inside, but the 11.9-inch infotainment system and the 12.3-inch digital display of the standard GLC are still used.
