Racer-look cars are currently trending in the market, especially among electric vehicles, as car manufacturers give them a futuristic design. Recently, a new car was spotted being tested on the roads—Mahindra BE.05. This car has a sports car appearance, with its driver cabin divided into two sections.
The Mahindra BE.05 is a coupe car designed with an aerodynamic front for high speed. It offers more legroom and headroom in the back. This electric car features an 80.0 kWh battery setup, providing a high driving range of about 450 km on a full charge. The charging port is located at the front, and it also offers a fast-charging option. With a fast charger, the car can be fully charged in just 30 minutes.
Mahindra hasn’t announced the price of its new car yet, but it’s expected to be priced between Rs 17 to 20 lakh ex-showroom. The company plans to launch the BE.05 by March 2025. The car is 4,370 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,653 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm, which makes it easy to drive on narrow city streets. The wheelbase refers to the distance from the front bumper to the rear of the car.
The Mahindra BE.05 features alloy wheels and a touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with automatic AC, a digital driver display, and may also offer a sunroof option. In the market, it will compete with the Tata Curvv EV, Tata Harrier EV, and Hyundai Creta EV in its segment. The car includes six airbags, a seat belt reminder, a high-speed alert, and two airbags in the front driver cabin.
The Hyundai Creta EV, which competes with the Mahindra BE.05, offers a total driving range of about 500 km on a full charge. The car will include a rear parking sensor, child seat anchors, and a cruise control system. It will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a stylish front grille, and ventilated front seats.
