BMW Motorrad officially launched its flagship electric scooter CE 04 in the Indian market. The BMW CE 04, priced at ₹14.90 lakh (ex-showroom), will be available as a completely built-in unit. Deliveries are set to begin in September.
Charging Convenience Options
The BMW CE 04, India’s most expensive electric scooter, features an 8.5 kWh battery pack providing a claimed range of up to 130 kilometers on a single charge. It includes a complimentary 2.3 kW home charger, which charges from 0 to 80% in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Additionally, an optional BMW Wallbox charger is offered for charging convenience.
Impressive Power Specifications
The CE 04 also claimed the title of the highest power-rated electric two-wheeler in the Indian market. Its liquid-cooled, permanent-magnet synchronous motor generates 42 horsepower and 62 Nm of peak torque. The e-scooter achieves a top speed of 120 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds.
Mechanical System Integration
The CE 04 features a one-piece tubular steel main frame that binds its mechanical components together. It comes standard with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), including a double-disc brake at the front and a single disc at the rear. Additionally, the BMW CE 04 is equipped with Automatic Stability Control (ASC) and offers three riding modes: Eco, Rain, and Road.
Comfort Package
The optional ‘Comfort Package’ allows riders to include heated grips and a comfort seat with a backrest. The optional ‘Dynamic Package’ provides features such as riding modes pro, headlight pro, ABS pro, adaptive headlights, and daytime riding light.
Futuristic Functional Design
The design blends functionality and aesthetics with a highly futuristic appeal. It features a long, stretched form that integrates a slim energy storage unit in the underfloor assembly and houses a compact drivetrain. The CE 04 includes LED lighting, 15-inch alloy wheels, and a floating single-piece seat as standard. It also comes equipped with a 10.25-inch TFT color split screen enabled with Bluetooth connectivity.
