IRCTC helicopter booking Kedarnath: IRCTC to start online booking from THIS date

IRCTC helicopter booking Kedarnath: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has been enlisted by the government of Uttarakhand to help with ticketing for the Kedarnath helicopter service. According to officials, this will stop ticket black selling and other unlawful activity.
On March 22, the IRCTC and the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) inked an MoU about this. The trial run would be finished by March 31, and the state officials are confident to start accepting reservations for helicopters on April 1, according to a report in The Times of India.
When registration opened on February 21 for the Char Dham yatra, about 6 lakh people had signed up.
The Gangotri and Yamunotri portals will open on April 22 on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, signalling the start of the current yatra, TOI report added. Yamunotri’s opening time will be announced on March 27 on Yamunotri Jayanti, while the doors of Gangotri will open at 12:35 p.m. The entrances to Kedarnath will open on April 25 at 6:20 am, and those to Badrinath will do the same at 7:10 am for devotees.
A total of 5.97 lakh registrations have been made, with Kedarnath leading with 2.2 lakh sign-ups, followed by 1.9 lakh for Badrinath, 88,521 for Gangotri and 87,352 for Yamunotri.
Around 45 lakh pilgrims visited the four famous temples in 2022. At Badrinath, there were 17.6 lakh worshippers, followed by 15.6 lakh at Kedarnath, 6.2 lakh at Gangotri, and 4.8 lakh at Yamunotri. Each shrine saw its highest foot traffic ever.
