Press Information Bureau pays tribute to RRR’s Naatu Naatu for historic win at Oscars 2023: Naa to Fake News, Naa to…

It’s huge day for Indian cinema, as we celebrate two wins at Oscars 2023. After creating waves across the world, SS Rajamouli’s RRR finally bagged the award for Best Orginal Song at the 95th Academy Awards. Even before this win, the Golden Globe-winning song has been playing around the world, making people break out into frenetic moves and try to match their energy.
PIB celebrates RRR win
Recently, Press Information Bureau congratulated the huge win of the RRR team in their way. Sharing a graphic picture, they captioned, “Proud Moment for India.Congratulations to team #RRR & #ElephantWhisperers for bringing the#Oscars It’s time to do #NaatuNaatu with #PIBFactCheck #AcademyAwards #Oscars95.”
The bureau used the moment to make sure to spread awareness by saying, “Naa to Fake News, Naa to Misinformation.”
Talking about the song, Naatu Naatu, the popular chartbuster composed by the Tollywood music sensation MM Keeravani has bagged the prestigious award by beating the other nominees like Hold My Hand (Top Gun Maverick), Applause (Tell it like a Woman), This is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Life Me Up (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever).

Deepika Padukone introduced Naatu Naatu

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s special introduction for the performance of Naatu Naatu on the Oscar stage made it even more special whereas the song was also performed live by the original singers of Naatu Naatu, singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and was danced by the Lauren Gottlieb and his team on the Oscar night. The performance received a lot of cheers and applaud throughout and even a standing ovation at the end.
