Virat Kohli gives a death stare to KS Bharat after wicketkeeper says NO to a single

Virat Kohli wasn’t impressed with KS Bharat and gave the wicketkeeper a death stare after he said no to a single. The incident took place in the first hour of day 4 when Kohli wanted a single after playing one down the leg side. The former captain had also left his crease. But Bharat wasn’t ready to move to the other end and said no.
Kohli wasn’t impressed with Bharat at all and gave him a death stare as he returned to his crease safely. The replays showed that there was a chance and the batsmen could have completed a single. Kohli gave a thumbs-up to his batting partner before resuming his innings.
On day 3, Kohli ended his 14-month-long wait and scored the 28th half-century of his career. The right-handed batsman is batting strongly in the middle and looks set to score his century. Kohli’s previous half-century came when he was still the Test captain. He breached the 50-run mark in the 3rd Test against South Africa.
The India legend hasn’t scored a century since November 2019 and will hope to end that drought on day 4. He and Bharat have their task cut out and have to bat for a long period to get India close to Australia’s score. The visitors put up a huge total of 480 while India are yet to breach the 350-run mark.
India could be without the services of Shreyas Iyer as he complained of pain in his lower back on day 3. The BCCI provided the update after Bharat came out to bat following Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal.
Jadeja couldn’t play a big knock and was dismissed for 28 off 84 balls. Shubman Gill shone with the bat on day 3 and scored 128 before being dismissed. It was his first Test century at home.
