The Kashmir Files has been one of the defining movies of Indian cinema last year. Chronicling the plight of the Kashmiri Pundits, who had to migrate out of the Valley following terror activities targeted at them, the film became a roaring success following high word of mouth publicity. While the film and its maker has been mired in several accolades and controversies since then, lead actor Anupam Kher has now pledged financial assistance to the Kashmiri Pandits.
