A leader of the Shiv Sena-UBT faction alleged that he was attacked by a group of people while he was campaigning for the upcoming byelections.
“When the door-to-door campaign was going on, I was suddenly attacked by four to five people,” he said.
The leader, who sustained injuries to his chest and shoulder in the incident, alleged that he was assaulted by members of the BJP. He remains admitted to the hospital and the police have filed an FIR.
Meanwhile, a video of the clash was caught on the CCTV of a shop in Pune. It showed a small group of people being surrounded and attacked by a larger group of people sans provocation. A woman was seen leading the charge on the smaller group, the video showed.
