The GST Council at its 49th meeting in New Delhi is likely to discuss tax rates on millet products, pencil sharpeners, raab and pan masala. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will chair the meeting.
GoM report, however, on online gaming is unlikely to be discussed.
During the meeting, setting up appellate tribunals and curbing tax evasion in pan masala and gutkha businesses are among the points to be discussed.
The last GST council meeting was held on December 22, 2022.
