AprilAprilHardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) will kick off their title defence against Chennai Super Kings on March 31 at their home ground. Gujarat Titans shocked the cricket fraternity by winning the IPL title under a captain who was making his captaincy debut in the T20 league. The Gujarat-based franchise defeated Rajasthan Royals in the final.
Gujarat Titans will play their first away game against Delhi Capitals on April 4. They will square off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last league stage game of IPL 2023 on May 21.
Gujarat made a major addition in IPL 2023 mini-auction and roped in Kane Williamson at his base price of Rs 2 crore. Apart from Williamson, the franchise signed the likes of Odean Smith, KS Bharat, Shivam Mavi, Urvil Patel, Joshua Little and Mohit Sharma.
Gujarat Titans are in Group B along with Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The final of IPL 2023 is scheduled to take place on May 28. The BCCI hasn’t announced venues for the playoffs and the final.
