After Aaditya Thackeray challenged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to resign and contest from Worli, MLA Deepak Kesarkar questioned the junior Thackeray’s political maturity. Kesarkar also pointed the finger at the privileges enjoyed by Aditya in his growth as a politician.
“He is immature to make such statements. It was very easy for him to become MLA. For him to win from the Worli constituency, two people were made MLC. They worked hard for him,” the MLA from the Shinde camp said.
Deepak Kesarkar added that Aaditya Thackeray would lose the deposit if he contested against Shinde from Thane. The chief minister got no time to respond to Thackeray’s jibe, he added.
“We can also say that if you resign from Worli and fight the election from CM Eknath Shinde’s bastion Thane, your deposit will be seized. But we don’t want to make such statements, our focus is to work for Maharashtra,” he said.
“In fact, CM Shinde doesn’t even have time to reply to such statements. He is working hard and is busy serving the people of Maharashtra,” the minister concluded.
Aaditya Thackeray has challenged “unconstitutional” Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to contest election against him in the Worli Assembly seat in Mumbai.
Speaking at a party program on Friday, Thackeray, MLA from Worli, also dared other Sena MLAs and MPs who rebelled against his father
Uddhav Thackeray to resign and face the voters afresh. Shinde became chief minister after toppling the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government in June 2022
