Congress leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah lashed out at BJP saying that even his dead body would not like to join or go to the Bhartiya Janata Party. Speaking exclusively to Times Now on the day when the economic survey was tabled Siddaramaiah said that people have no hopes from the BJP and it has failed in every possible way. The party stands only on lies and fake promises and hence the people are looking for a change.
These remarks come after Karnataka minister and BJP leader Narayangowda praised Siddaramaiah during a political rally in his constituency. The minister said that he won’t criticize Siddaramaiah as he has a lot of respect for him and for the work that he has done in his taluk.
Siddaramaiah while speaking in a forum at Magadi in the Ramanagara district of Karnataka on Monday said, “Even if BJP offers me the post of Prime Minister or President I won’t join the party.” He also said that Janata Dal (Secular) or others will go with BJP for power and alleged that the JD-S had no ideology or rationality. They will go with anyone for power.
Further, speaking to Times Now, he took a dig at the government for the baseless promises made in the previous Budget so far. He said that the people of this country are fed up with this government. Be it the farmers, traders, youngsters, women, or middle-class — all are suffering. The people of this country are unhappy and are waiting for the elections. “There will be a change in the Centre and the state government as well,” he added. He alleged that the present government is just looting people, making fake promises and is far away from the ground issues.
When asked whether Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will be a game changer for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he said that Bharat Jodo Yatra was not meant for elections but to unite the minds of people in this country.
