Congress leader Rashid Alvi supported his fellow party man, Digvijay Singh’s remark about the surgical strike and urged the Central Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government to show the video of the operation, it claims to have.
Rashid Alvi, a congress leader, also praised Digvijay Singh’s comments regarding the surgical strike.
He was reported saying by ANI, “We have confidence in our security forces but can’t trust the BJP government. The government says it has video (of surgical strike) so what’s wrong with Digvijay Singh asking them to show it? We are not asking for proof (of surgical strike) but the government should show video it claims it has.”
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s statement on the surgical strike on Pakistan has created a ruckus across party lines. His own party has also distanced itself from his statement. Even after this, Alvi has come out in his support.
This statement has been supported when Rahul Gandhi himself said, while avoiding Digvijay Singh’s statement, “The Congress party does not agree with this. We have full faith in our army.”
Alvi earlier said in a video, “Till date that video was not shown, there was no debate in the parliament, Sushma ji is not among us today, she said that we attacked a place where no man was killed, Amit Shah ji said that 200-300 people Killed, UP CM Yogi Adityanath had said that 400 people were killed. What should the people of the country believe? When those BJP leaders who are sitting in the government are giving different statements.”
Congress leader Digvijay Singh had given a statement regarding the surgical strike in Jammu and Kashmir during the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Monday. He had said, “They talk about surgical strikes, they talk about killing many people, but haven’t given any proof. They are ruling with the help of bundles of lies.”
