‘Move ahead unitedly’: PM Modi greets fellow Indians on Republic Day, sends message of unity

Prime Minister Narendra Modi  greeted “fellow Indians” on the occasion on 74th Republic Day. The PM, in his tweet, said that the occasion is even more special this year given that it is being celebrated as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements.
Further, he remembered the freedom fighters and said that the entire country needs to stand united and work together to fulfill the dreams of the fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Australian PM Anthony Albanese also wished India on the special day. He said, “This day is a moment to honour the rich culture and impressive achievements of modern India. It’s a chance for all those of Indian heritage to unite around their shared love of India and shared faith in its future…I wish all those celebrating a happy Republic Day.”

India celebrates 74th R Day

The spectacular Republic Day parade will be held at the Kartavya Path today, first time since its name was changed from Rajpath. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is the Chief Guest for the Republic Day celebrations this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu will be present during the celebrations along with the Egyptian President.
This year’s Republic Day celebration will witness the country’s military prowess, cultural diversity, and many unique initiatives. Building on last year’s celebrations, in the 75th year of Independence, celebrated as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the celebrations this year shall witness zeal, enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and ‘Jan Bhagidari’.
Before the parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the National War Memorial in Delhi to pay his respects to martyrs. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, MoS Defence, Defence Secretary, Chief of the Defence Staff, Chief of the Army Staff, Chief of the Air Staff, and Chief of the Naval Staff will also be present.
