Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant on January 19. Now, the couple is all set to tie the knot soon. The lavish engagement ceremony included Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi, which was followed by a ring ceremony and performances by the family members. Amid several videos and pictures, netizens noticed Anant’s weight gain after his inspirational weight loss transformation in 2016.
When Nita Ambani opened up about Anant’s weight gain
In 2016, Anant Ambani left everyone surprised with his weight loss transformation and soon became an inspiration to many. In 2017, in an interview with Times of India, Nita had explained that Anant “was highly asthmatic so we had to put him on a lot of steroids” and added, “he suffers from obesity.” Hence, the treatment for asthma resulted in a lot of weight gain.
Nita also said that they are still fightingh obesity. “We are still fighting obesity. There are so many children who have this, and mothers feel shy admitting it. But I think you have to motivate your child to lose weight, as the child looks up to you all the time. Both of us went away to Los Angeles for some time to a children’s obesity hospital so I could get into a routine with him.”
According to the reports, Anant exercised for five-six hours every day and his exercise regime included a 21 km walk, followed by yoga, weight training, functional training, and high-intensity cardio exercises.

Anant and Radhika had their roka ceremony in Shrinath Temple in Nathwara, Rajasthan for their Roka ceremony last month. It was an intimate celebration with only family members in attendance. The Roka was followed by a party at Antilla which was attended by several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, and others.
