River Ganga becoming big economic centre, says Ganga Vilas Cruise Director ahead of big launch

Ahead of the big launch of ‘Ganga Vilas Cruise’ in Varanasi, Director Raj Singh on Tuesday asserted that River Ganga is fast becoming a big economic centre along with a place of faith. He also confirmed that all arrangements have been made for the January 13 launch.
While speaking , Singh said, “Ganga is now becoming a big centre of economy along with faith. Yes, now the operation of the world’s longest distance cruise in Ganga is starting. Ganga Vilas Cruise will travel 3200 km from Varanasi to Dibrugarh. PM Narendra Modi will flag off this cruise on January 13.”
“If we talk about cruise, then hi-tech arrangements have been made for the passengers. The cruise has a total of 18 rooms in which 32 foreign guests will travel. The cruise has spa center, gym with restaurant arrangement. The cruise will cover the distance of 3250 km in 51 days,” he added.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘MV Ganga Vilas’ from Varanasi on January 13.
The cruise is planned with visits to 50 tourist spots, including World Heritage Sites, National Parks, river ghats, and major cities like Patna in Bihar, Sahibganj in Jharkhand, Kolkata in West Bengal, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Guwahati in Assam.
The MV Ganga Vilas vessel has three decks, 18 suites on board with a capacity of 36 tourists, with all the amenities to provide a memorable and luxurious experience for the tourists.
