Looks like Tunisha Sharma’s show Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul has already found a new Ali Baba. According to sources, telly star Abhishek Nigam will replace the late actress’ co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan in the lead role.
Who is Abhishek Nigam?
Following Tunisha Sharma’s demise and Sheezan Khan’s arrest in relation to the case, sources claim that Abhishek Nigam has been cast as the new Ali Baba.
Known for his roles in Akbar Rakht Se Takht Ka Safar and Hero – Gayab Mode On, Abhishek Nigam (age 25) is a well-known actor. Born on September 13, 1997, he was born and brought up in Allahabad (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh before he moved to Mumbai to pursue his acting career.
He is the elder brother of Chandra Nandini fame actor Siddharth Nigam! While both the brothers often enjoy the spotlight, not much is known about their parents aside from the fact that their mother Vibha Nigam runs an NGO and a beauty parlour.
The Akbar actor completed his early education at Delhi Public School Allahabad (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh and then went on to do his Bachelors from the New Law College in Pune, Maharashtra. Stepping into the entertainment scene with the 2015 short film India’s Daughter, Abhishek made his TV acting debut in the historical drama Akbar Rakht Se Takht Ka Safar in 2017. Aside from shows, the actor has also appeared in movies like Panipat and numerous music videos. He also runs a YouTube channel.
Tunisha Sharma’s untimely demise
Telly star Tunisha Sharma died by suicide on Saturday (December 24) after hanging herself in the makeup room of her co-star and former boyfriend Sheezan Khan on the sets of their show Ali Baba. The couple were allegedly in a relationship and had parted ways just a fortnight before the actress decided to take the drastic step.
While the crew immediately rushed Tunisha to a nearby hospital, the young star was declared dead upon arrival. Tunisha’s mother has filed an FIR against Sheezan and the actor is currently in police custody.
