A court has mandated a survey of the contested site in the latest stage of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute case. By January 20, 2023, the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura must submit its survey report.
Regarding this, the petitioner and Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta said that the land belonged to the Hindu God-king, Shri Krishna and everything was happening under the purview of the law.
“We filed a petition in court and the order was given (for a survey). That land is of Lord Krishna who was born in Mathura, it’s evident. Now a court commissioner has been appointed for a survey, everything’s under the purview of law,” Vishnu Gupta, petitioner told ANI in the Krishna Janmabhoomi land case. He is also the president of Hindu Sena, a far-right group in India.
The court of Civil Judge Senior Division (III) ordered “Amin” to perform a survey of the disputed location of the Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura while it was considering the Hindu Sena’s plea.
The Shahi Masjid Idgah, which was built on a portion of the 13.37 acres owned by the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust, was the subject of a lawsuit brought by the petitioners on December 8 in the court of civil judge senior division following the alleged destruction of the Katra Keshav Dev temple by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
According to attorneys, the “compromise” reached between Shahi Masjid Idgah and Sri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sansthan in 1968 was also contested in the lawsuit.
The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), on the other hand, asserted that following the court’s directive will contribute in exposing the truth.
