James Cameron’s Avatar The Way of Water is set to hit theaters in a couple of days! With the release of the highly-anticipated film just around the corner, a media screening was held recently with several celebrities and media personnel attending it. While most critics have given their reviews about the highly awaited sequel, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar was one of the first actors to share his thoughts about the movie.

About Avatar: The Way of Water
Directed by James Cameron, Avatar: The Way of Water is the sequel to the 2009 film Avatar. Hitting the big screens across India on December 16, the movie is set to release in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The sequel will be a continuation of the first part of the franchise. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet play pivotal roles in the second installment.
Filmmaker James Cameron, who expressed an interest in making sequels to Avatar if it was successful, had announced the first two sequels way back in 2010. While The Way of Water was aimed for a 2014 release, the addition of three more sequels and the need to develop new technology led to significant delays in production.
Recently, the highly anticipated movie received major backlash after it had been nominated in two categories at the 2022 Golden Globe Awards even before its official release. James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water have been nominated for Golden Globe Awards for Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director.
