Former IPL winners with CSK, 2 senior players not part IPL 2023 mini-auction

The preparations for the IPL 2023 mini-auction are in full swing and the franchises are probably busy inking on the players they want to buy during the one-day event. The BCCI has officially confirmed the date for the auction and the event will take place on December 23. It will have a 2:30 PM IST start.
As many as 991 players were part of the original list for the auction. It has been pruned to 405 and those part of the list will be up for grabs. Since it’s a mini-auction, not many names will be announced and the accelerated process will start from the 87th player.
While the list includes many veterans and junior players, there are 2 former IPL winners who will not be part of the IPL 2023 mini-auction. The first name is Chetshwar Pujara. The veteran India player didn’t register for the mini-auction. He went unsold from IPL 2015 to 2020 before he drew a surprising bid from Chennai Super Kings in 2021.
Pujara was released before IPL 2022 and once again went unsold. With no hope of getting a bid, Pujara decided against registering for the T20 league. He was part of the MS Dhoni-led team that won the IPL 2021 trophy.
The second player who is absent from the list of Kedar Jadhav. A part of the Dhoni-led side in 2018, the season in which they lifted the trophy, Jadhav was part of the initial list. He hasn’t been included in the pruned list. Jadhav went unsold in IPL 2022 mega-auction. He was part of CSK from 2018 to 2020. His previous IPL appearance came for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2021.
There is another capped player who isn’t part of the list. As per The Times of India, Hanuma Vihari too hadn’t registered for the T20 league. His previous IPL appearance came for Delhi Capitals in 2019.
