The Twitter handle of Jagan Mohan Reddy led-YSR Congress was hacked on Saturday morning. It is reported that apart from the profile picture on the handle, some such pictures were also inserted in the posts, which are used for trading in the cryptocurrency market. Pictures of Twitter chief Elon Musk were also used in some posts.
The hackers posted the images of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) that are non-fungible tokens (NFTs) used for trading in the cryptocurrency market.
Confirming the hacking incident, Andhra Pradesh Chief Digital Director Devender Reddy said efforts were on to bring the YSR Congress Party Twitter handle back under control.
“We have complained to Twitter and they are working on that. It is expected to be resolved soon,” he said.
Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party’s Twitter account was hacked on October 1.
