Amid the ongoing debate over love jihad in the country, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has saprked a row by saying that it is a new form of terrorism. After the Shraddha murder case came to light, a fresh debate started on Love Jihad.
Giriraj Singh alleged that “terrorism in the form of love jihad” was hatching a conspiracy “to finish sanatan dharma” and urged followers to unite against it.
“Terrorism has taken a new shape in the form of love jihad…it is hatching a dirty conspiracy to finish ‘sanatan dharma’ in India. The followers have to unite and will have to foil this conspiracy,” he said.
The rural development minister made the comment while speaking at a programme in Mohammadabad to commemorate the death anniversary of former MLA Krishnanand Rai.
Further, he also advocated the need to frame population control laws and said that such policies will ensure the holistic development of the country.
“In China, 10 children are born every minute, while in India, 31 babies are born per minute. Due to this, development could not take place at a rapid speed so far,” he claimed.
Love Jihad ‘well-planned conspiracy’: Giriraj Singh
This is not the first time that the Union Minister has made headlines for his comment on love jihad as earlier he demanded a law from Bihar Government against Love Jihad. Last month, Giriraj Singh claimed that a large number of girls like Shraddha have become victims of “love jihad”.
“There is a well-planned conspiracy taking place in the country to target Hindu girls through love jihad. It is the party of Nitish Kumar, party of Lalu Prasad Yadav and the party of Rahul Gandhi that are responsible for it. They have to reply on it,” he said while interacting with media persons here.
“In the past, we have seen how Muslim people took away Hindu and Sikh girls from the marriage ceremonies (Mandup) and Gurudwaras in Pakistan. Lakhs of Shraddhas become victims in India too. It is a well-planned conspiracy under which the youths of Muslim community are establishing relationship with Hindu girls and forcing them to change the religion. If Hindu girls are not ready for conversion, they have been killed like Shraddha,” Singh alleged.
