MS Dhoni fan proudly sports Thala’s jersey during Brazil-Serbia FIFA WC match; CSK react

MS Dhoni’s popularity knows no bounds and the former India captain is among one of the most followed players across the globe. While his fans often sport his jersey even 2 years after his retirement, he is quite popular even among football fans.
Pics of an MS Dhoni fan proudly sporting his jersey during the Brazil-Serbia Fifa World Cup fixture is going viral on social media. He can be seen holding the jersey and posing with a Brazil fan in one of the pics. Later, the fan decided to wear it.
The pics reached IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings and the Yellow Army has reacted to the viral post. “Everywhere we go, there’s always Yellove!” the franchise wrote on Twitter.
Dhoni has represented CSK in every season they have taken part in IPL. He was CSK’s full-time captain from 2008 to 2021 (barring 2 years when they were banned). Before the start of IPL 2022, Dhoni decided to hand over the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja. He regained the top job after CSK struggled under Jadeja’s captaincy.
Dhoni is confirmed to play at least one more season for CSK and will lead the Yellow Army in IPL 2023. The 16th edition of IPL will be played in home and away format. CSK have excelled under Dhoni’s leadership and have clinched the IPL title 4 times.
Brazil defeat Serbia
Talking of Thursday night’s fixture, Brazil kicked off their 2022 World Cup campaign with a 2-0 over Serbia. Richarlison scored both goals to steer Brazil to a comfortable win. Brazil suffered a big blow during the fixture as Neymar suffered an ankle injury. The team will have to wait for an official report to know his status for the rest of the tournament.
“Neymar has an injury on his right ankle, a direct trauma. Due to the impact from the knee of the Serbian player, we started immediate treatment on the bench. He continues with the physio, but now need to wait 24 to 48 hours for a better assessment. There is no MRI scan scheduled, but tomorrow we will make a new assessment. We need to wait and cannot make any premature comments,” Rodrigo Lasmar, Brazil’s team doctor, said after the fixture.
