Pak-based Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda dies in Lahore hospital

Harvinder Singh Rinda, a Pakistan-based notorious gangster-turned terrorist, died  in a hospital in Lahore, allegedly from a ‘drug overdose.’
Rinda was admitted to a hospital in Lahore on Monday owing to a renal problem, according to intelligence sources. Amid many rumours doing rounds over his cause of death it is being claimed by the Davinder Bhambiha mafia group, which claims he turned against its members.
Rinda, who was allegedly backed by Pakistan‘s ISI, was involved in terror cases and targeted assassinations in Punjab.
He was accused of smuggling sophisticated weaponry, cocaine, tiffin explosives, and money across the border to interstate criminals operating in Punjab. According to police, he used to recruit unemployed and naive individuals, primarily from Punjab and Haryana, in order to spread fear and carry out targeted assassinations on Indian soil.
Rinda had also collaborated with the terrorist organisation Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
He was a history-sheeter who was previously active in Punjab, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, and Haryana. He is wanted by Punjab Police for at least 24 horrific crimes, including homicide, contract killing, robbery, extortion, and snatching.
Rinda died barely days after his role in the Faridkot murder was revealed. Six criminals shot Pradeep Singh Kataria, a Dera Sacha Sauda disciple, in broad daylight in Punjab’s Faridkot.
The Delhi Police Special Cell apprehended three gunmen last week, and investigations indicated that the attack was carried out on the orders of Canada-based mobster Goldy Brar, an accomplice of Rinda and convicted gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
His role was also suspected in the killing of Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri, who was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab earlier.
