Digvijaya Singh credits RSS chief’s mosque visit to Bharat Jodo Yatra, says PM Modi will soon start wearing ‘topi’

Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh  said that his party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, being spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi, has made RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visit a madrasa and a mosque and soon Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start wearing topi (cap).
The Congress leader said that soon PM Modi will be seen wearing a “topi”, apparently referring to the reference to the skull cap worn by Muslims.
“The BJP is targeting Rahul Gandhi these days because (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan) Bhagwat started visiting madrasa and masjid within a month of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. PM Modi will also start wearing a topi in a few days,” Singh, who heads the organising committee for the party’s foot-march, said while talking to reporters.
Bhagwat visited a mosque in central Delhi’s Kasturba Gandhi Marg and a madrasa (Islamic seminary) in the city in September and also met All India Imam Organisation chief Umer Ahmed Ilyasi.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) “sarsanghchalak” went to the Madarsa Tajweedul Quran in north Delhi’s Azadpur.
In August, Bhagwat met with five Muslim intellectuals and held discussion about the “current atmosphere of disharmony” in the country.
The Congress leader further said that within two months of the Yatra, which began from Kanyakumari on September 7, a senior Sangh leader had to say the poor of the country are becoming poorer and the rich are getting richer.
“You will see what happens when this yatra reaches its final destination, Srinagar,” Singh said.
