India Cements celebrated its Platinum jubilee during an event in Chennai on Saturday (November 12). MS Dhoni and Amit Shah were among those who attended the star-studded event. Dhoni has a special connection with India Cements as he plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). India Cements owns the Chennai-based franchise.
Amit Shah addressed the event and shared his insight. During the event, Shah met Dhoni and the pic of them shaking hands is going viral on social media. Shah has a special connection with cricket as he served as the president of the Gujarat Cricket Association. He is now the Home Minister of India.
Dhoni, who is one of the most popular faces in the country, isn’t part of any political party. The India legend lives a private life in Ranchi and stays away from the limelight. He has distanced himself from social media.
Dhoni kicks off preparations for IPL 2023
MS Dhoni has kicked off preparations for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and the videos of him practicing at the JSCA nets recently went viral on social media. Dhoni is confirmed to lead the Yellow Army in the next season of the T20 league.
He had stepped down from his position before the start of IPL 2022 and handed the job to Ravindra Jadeja. The star all-rounder was replaced by Dhoni after CSK only managed 2 wins from 8 matches.Before the end of IPL 2022, Dhoni had confirmed that he will be playing in front of the Chennai crowd and is set to be in action in IPL 16.
Going into the season, CSK are likely to retain Jadeja. The Times of India has reported that the Yellow Army will not be releasing their first-choice pick. A few months back, Jadeja had hinted at leaving the franchise by deleting all the CSK-related posts from his Instagram profile.
