Karnataka Congress to move HC against Bengaluru court’s order to block Twitter accounts

: Karnataka Congress is set to file a writ petition in the High Court to quash a Bengaluru court’s order to temporarily block the Twitter accounts of the Congress party and Bharat Jodo Yatra. a Bengaluru court ordered Twitter to temporarily block the two accounts for allegedly violating MRT Music’s statutory copyright by improperly using sound recordings from the film KGF Chapter 2.
M Naveen Kumar, the manager of the music company said that songs from KGF-2 were used in the Bharat Jodo Yatra campaign videos.
According to the first information report (FIR) filed with police in Bengaluru’s Yashwanthpur, Congress politician Jairam Ramesh tweeted two Bharat Jodo Yatra videos that featured popular KGF-2 songs without permission.
According to a report by news agency PTI, M Naveen Kumar alleged, “The said videos were made using the popular sound recordings owned and held by the complainant. The said sound recordings are that of the cinematographic film “KGF Chapter 2″ (Hindi version) which is popular globally.”
As per PTI, the manager of the music company alleged, “On perusal of the videos it is clear that all the accused have fraudulently, blatantly and slavishly with an intention of making wrongful gains have unauthorizedly and illegally used the sound recording owned and held by the Complainant.”
