The Round of 16 of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League (UCL) will see a re-match of the 2022 final as Liverpool and defending champions Real Madrid face each other in a highly anticipated clash. Meanwhile, the finalist of the 2020 edition Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain will play each other for the third time in four seasons as they have drawn together in a blockbuster clash in the draw that took place in Nyon on Monday (November 7).
Another marquee fixture will see Borussia Dortmund face 2021 champions Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will continue their search for a first UCL title with a tie against RB Leipzig. Tottenham Hotspur and 7-time champions AC Milan will face each other in an engrossing clash.
Club Brugge who turned out to be the surprise package of the group stage will face Benfica in the quarter-finals while high-flying Napoli will take on defending Europa League champions Frankfurt. Inter Milan will look to continue their impressive campaign in the 2022/23 UCL against Porto.

The 2022/23 season knockout stage will be without some big name teams as Manchester United failed to qualify for the competition. One of the most successful teams in the competition history Barcelona were knocked out in the group stage and demoted to the Europa League while Atletico Madrid finished fourth in their group and are completely out of any European competition for the season.
The first leg of the 2022/23 UCL season Round of 16 stage will take place on 14/15 and 21/22 while the return leg will take place on March 7/8 and 14/15. The eight winning teams will qualify for the quarter-final that are scheduled for 11/12 and 18/19 April. This season’s final is scheduled to take place in Istanbul for 10th June 2023.
