On Shah Rukh Khan’s 57th birthday, Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal took to Twitter and revealed that his dream of getting the bid for Cairn became a reality after the release of SRK’s blockbuster movie Om Shanti Om.
Worth mentioning here is that metals and mining group Vedanta completed its buyout of oil and gas explorer Cairn India in 2017, consolidating its position as one of the world’s largest diversified natural resources companies.
“My dream of getting the bid for Cairn became a reality after release of Om Shanti Om,” Agarwal tweeted, adding that the dialogue of the film agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jati hai has stuck him since.

Dressed in a black T-shirt and denims, the iconic star waved, blew kisses and spread his arms in his signature style to the hundreds of admirers waiting outside his house to catch a glimpse of their beloved star. He was accompanied by his youngest child AbRam.
Bollywood studio Yash Raj Films has released Shah Rukh’s iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge once again in theatres across India on Wednesday—on the occasion of the star’s birthday. SRK will next be seen in Pathaan, backed by Yash Raj Films, and the movie will be released on January 25.
