It will be an understatement to say that Kantara is roaring at the box office. The Kannada action thriller has emerged as the sleeper hit of the year. Made on a budget of less than Rs 20 crore, the film has earned over Rs 200 crore, emerging as the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time. Rishab Shetty, who directed and starred in the film, has received critical acclaim from all corners.

When the actor-director made Kantara, little did he know that it would perform reasonably well across different markets. The film has managed to set the cash registers jingling in the Hindi-speaking belts, inching closer to the Rs 50-crore mark.
