Allu Arjun’s 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise turned out to be a massive box office hit. Helmed by Sukumar, the movie also featured Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. Following the movie’s release, fans have been eagerly waiting for its second instalment, Pushpa: The Rule.
After much delay, Allu Arjun has now started shooting for the movie. Taking to Instagram, cinematographer Kuba Brozek shared a photo with the actor and captioned it as: “Adventure has begun … thanks to IconStar #Movie #Pushpa #alluarjunonline #ThaggedheLe #aryasukku #mythrimoviemakers #pushpa #pushpatherule
Earlier this month, a post was shared by the makers stating that the work on Pushpa: The Rule had started. Rashmika had also reacted to this.
The tweet by the makers read, “Works of #PushpaTheRule in full flow Icon star @alluarjun, director @aryasukku, celebrity photographer @avigowariker, poster designer @tuneyjohn and the entire team is putting all their efforts to deliver the best @iamRashmika @ThisIsDSP @SukumarWritings.”
Reacting to this, Rashmika wrote, “look at thaaaaat! it’s starting y’all.”
Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rise also starred Fahadh Faasil alongside Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay and Ajay Ghosh in supporting roles. The film had reportedly earned over Rs 350 crore at the box office. It became the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021, and ranks among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.
Recently, Pushpa also won big at the Filmfare Awards South 2022. Reacting to the big win, Allu Arjun had shared a heartfelt post on the gram. It read, “Pushpa clean sweep at Filmfare 2022. Best Actor, Best Director, Best Music Director, Best Cinematography, Best Male Singer, Best Female Singer and Best Film. Thank you all. Humbled.”
