A few weeks ago, numerous rumours began doing the rounds that Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been away from social media and any public appearance as she’s taken off to the USA to get treated for a rare disorder. Samantha, who already suffers from a weak autoimmune system and diabetes refrained from making any statement and the only time fans saw an update was with her upcoming film’s poster.
With Yashoda all set for release, fans were hoping to see the actress up and about during the promotions. But Samantha went on to confirm the rumours to state that she is getting treated for an autoimmune condition called Myositis. She didn’t want to make any announcement until she had started recovery but unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected. Sam also went on to elaborate that the doctors have assured her of a full recovery.
The actress began her note by writing, “Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. “
She further went on to elaborate and write, “But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery.
I love you.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS”
Samantha will next be seen in Yashoda which is set to release on November 11. The action thriller is written and directed by Hari – Harish and also stars Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
Here’s wishing the brave heart a speedy recovery!
