Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who often grabs eyeballs for his impeccable fashion sense, recently garnered a lot of attention when he took out his fancy blue Aston Martin for a ride. Well, as soon as Ranveer took out his hot wheels for a drive, netizens started pointing out that the car, which approximately costs Rs 3.9 crores, has an expired license. This landed the Gully Boy actor in a soup. However, according to a report, there is no truth to the allegations against Ranveer.
Recently, a Twitter user tagged the Mumbai Police after Ranveer Singh took out his Aston Martin for a ride in the city. The Twitterati claimed that the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani actor was driving his car with an “expired license”. The user also urged the Mumbai Police to take strict action against Ranveer Singh. Though the tweet has been deleted now, the user had written, “@MumbaiPolice Please take strick action on @RanveerOfficial. Insurance Failed car he drove yesterday!!#RanveerSingh
However, according to a report of ETimes, when the same was checked, the truth came to light. Reliable sources confirmed the publication that Ranveer Singh’s car has a valid insurance policy. The source added, “Enough fact check is not being done before such information is picked up.”
Well, this is not the first time Ranveer has found himself embroiled in a controversy. Earlier this year, the actor landed into a legal soup when nude pictures from his photoshoot for a leading magazine raised several eyebrows. An FIR was also filed against the actor for the same and the police booked him under Sections 292, 293 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Meanwhile, talking about his upcoming projects, Ranveer Singh will be next seen in a lead role in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus opposite Pooja Hegde and in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
